Student Spotlight: Jessica Zeynel, The University of Manchester

Hello, everyone! My name is Jessica Zeynel, and I’m a medical student at the University of Manchester. I’m absolutely thrilled to join One World Together and share my passion for wellness and mental health with you all.

At university, I founded the Mind Body Soul Society to support students’ emotional and physical wellbeing. I see so many wonderful parallels between One World Together’s philosophy and the values I promote on campus.

Trust is fundamental in fostering positive relationships and driving meaningful change. I deeply resonate with One World Together’s approach of supporting existing projects and trusting local communities to know what’s best for themselves. In my experience, helping individuals truly involves believing in their ability to help themselves.

I also love One World Together’s commitment to mutual growth and education between partner organizations and Global Citizens. The issues surrounding effective and equitable Global Development often become mere buzzwords, but One World Together’s initiatives strive to foster genuine understanding and sustainable change.

I am so excited to be part of One World Together and to stay updated on their impactful work. I look forward to discussing how we can further support mental and emotional wellbeing in these communities and explore any ongoing projects that address these important issues.

Let’s make a difference together!
